Job Description
Are you looking to grow your career in Positive Behaviour Support? Our MDT Allied Health team in the Central Coast is expanding, and we’re seeking a passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner at Core or Proficient Level, as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. If you’re based in the Gosford or Tuggerah area, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
- Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life.
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
- Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
To be successful, you'll need:
- NDIS Commission suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Core or Proficient level.
- Degree qualification in an allied health field (e.g Psychology, Social Work & Counselling).
- Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Genuine passion for the disability sector, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
