Job Description


DESCRIPTION:

Medalase Providers perform hair removal or skin aesthetics treatments in a manner that conforms to protocol and policies established by the Medical Director, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and providing the highest standards of Client care and safety. Makes medical decisions within the scope of their degree and level of training under the leadership and direction of the Medical Director. Promotes, and participates in the Treatment Center’s ongoing team effort to foster Center growth, achieve revenue targets and create a successful enterprise.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include those listed below. 

Medical/Client Care Services

•Within established guidelines, perform laser hair removal or skin aesthetics services for Clients according to individual requests or specifications outlined in the client contract. Comply with all medical protocols and perform medical services with the highest standards of care.

•Analyze individual Client requests; determine, communicate, and manage Client expectations regarding treatment success.

•Understand and use laser and other aesthetic related equipment, ensuring its proper and regular maintenance.

•Call in all Client prescriptions.

•Accurately and thoroughly complete Client charts and assist with Client chart filing.

•Call all Clients the day after treatment to follow up on results.

•Maintain clean treatment rooms, and assist with maintaining clean dressing rooms

•Train new Providers as requested.

•Assist with shaving and numbing clients.

•Take pre- and post-treatment photos of client treatment area according to protocol.

•Rapidly and effectively communicate all medical issues to center supervising physician and or medical director.


Sales/Client Service/Administrative


•Communicate with staff members to facilitate the coordination of work and Client schedules.

•Educate clients on additional services to facilitate additional sales (Re-Ups).

•Educate and update non-medical personnel on laser procedures so as to ensure the provision of quality, informed customer service. 

•Marketing and selling products and treatments; exemplary closing efforts.

•Answer incoming calls, schedule Client appointments, greet and direct Clients through the treatment process.

•Provide customer service and medical information for database entry and quality assurance purposes.

•Input patient Assist Consultants with consultations medical and treatment information into database.

•Download client pictures into database.

•Assist with laundry and other general center duties as necessary.

•Oversee the maintenance of laser-related inventories; order medical supplies through the Operations Manager.

•Attend all mandatory on- and off-site medical and operations meetings.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Virginia: RN, LPN, Aesthetician, Master Aesthetician 

Must be procedure oriented, highly skilled in customer service and relations, sales and technically sound.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: 

•The employee will be scheduled based on operational needs (evenings, weekends).

•Incumbent may be required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal (VDT).

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

•The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls;and reach with hands and arms.

•The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds.

•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

•May require long periods of time on feet.
