MentorMate is seeking a full-time User Experience/ User Interface Designer to join our Minneapolis team. We are looking for candidates with curiosity, enthusiasm and excellent visual design skills to work with us in creating innovative mobile solutions. Our ideal candidate will have multiple years of UX and UI experience and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively to create intuitive and elegant solutions to complex problems. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert to advise clients and prospects about UX and UI appropriate for various mobile platforms
•  Work with clients to ideate and present solutions to their challenges
• Translate high-level strategies into user flows, user experiences and visual designs
• Identify opportunities and risks associated with projects
• Work directly with clients
• Work closely with developers and be able to communicate your designs and ideas clearly on a technical level
• Create low and high fidelity mockups of mobile and web experiences

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles
• A portfolio that demonstrates excellent visual and typographic design skill
• Ability to create both wireframes and detailed visual designs
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently or with a group across multiple projects
• A desire to continuously learn about design, technology and people

• Ability to bring your designs to life via rapid prototype using your choice of tools such as Photoshop, Flinto, Moqups, UxPin HTML/CSS, etc.
•  Experience designing for both iOS and Android devices

Availability: Immediate

Experience: At least 3 years of related experience

Compensation: DOE

Location: Minneapolis

Travel: 0-20%

Hours: 8am to 5pm, M-F
