Job Description

GEOINT Technical Support supports GEOINT and imagery analysts directly, as part of daily operational and functional mission support within different braches and divisions. The candidate will provide research and ad hoc projects, using multiple computer databases and special source libraries.

DUTIES

  • Performs research, contributes to the preparation of analytical and technical reports and publications, prepares graphics and maintains hard/soft copy files, including target folders, film files, collateral files and other publications
  • Creates and maintains databases, summary data, spreadsheets and graphic documents and maintains Intelink web sites
  • Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to extract and/or access geospatial information, derivative information and multi-intelligence data to provide requirements, currency, accuracy, readiness, responsiveness, data integrity and relevancy recommendations, that support the analysis and visualization of geospatial data available for use by the military, intelligence, and policy-making communities

Qualifications

  • Government clearance required
  • High School Diploma, college level courses in related fields is desirable
  • Must possess 3-6 years of experience
  • Advanced skills with Windows operating systems, MS Office, data mining and an expert-level ability to develop, manipulate and maintain databases
  • Familiarity desired with research techniques and experience with research tools and locating desired data in Open Source databases and other searchable data locations
  • Experience with multi-tiered systems and communication between components
  • Knowledge/experience with Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage
  • Knowledge of system and storage architecture best practices
  • Experience with current market solutions and their applicability to dissemination
  • Able to ensures that data is loaded by an effective date
  • Experience with monitoring and performing processes on multiple security domains, to disseminate data
  • Experience with tracking and providing metrics on data holdings and quality issues
  • Experience using COTS and GOTS tools, to extract data from and load data into databases and into disk storage
  • Familiarity desired with research techniques and experience with research tools and locating desired data in Open Source databases and other searchable data locations
