Job Description

As an intern you will have the opportunity to contribute to one of MindMaze’s key neuroscience R&D projects over a period ranging from 3 to 6 months.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess one of our optical tracking devices for our human movement needs. You will work at the intersection of our Neuroscience and Engineering teams.

Your main tasks will involve:

  • Preparing a testing protocol
  • Creating a program to record the tracked movement
  • Running the tests with healthy subjects performing wanted and unwanted movements
  • Creating simple software tools for data analysis
  • Analysing and reporting the results

Qualifications

Skills that we look out for are among

  • BSc or MSc in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent;
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages; Python (required), C# (good to have)
  • Min B2 level in English

 Icing on the cake

  • Experience with acquisition and analysis of kinematic data (e.g. 3D upper-limb kinematics, force recordings)
  • Experience with Unity
  • Experience with software versioning and control (eg. Git, SVN)
  • Experience with working with relational databases and query tools (e.g. SQL)
  • An up-to-date github/bitbucket repository demonstrating quality of previously developed code
  • Autonomy
