Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s FSMS in accordance with HACCP standards.

  • Coordinate food safety audits (internal and external) and facilitate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure hazards are identified, evaluated, and controlled.

  • Lead the HACCP team and ensure the HACCP plan is up to date.

  • Monitor and verify CCPs, PRPs, and OPRPs, ensuring compliance and records are maintained.

  • Provide training and awareness to staff on food safety practices, procedures, and system updates.

  • Liaise with production, quality, procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure FSMS compliance.

  • Ensure documentation and records are properly controlled, updated, and readily available for audits.

  • Stay current with food safety laws, regulations, and industry trends.

  • Report FSMS performance metrics to senior management and suggest improvements.

  • Coordinate with external certification bodies and regulatory authorities.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or related roles in the food industry.

  • Experience implementing or maintaining HACCP systems.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving ability.
