Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Food and Beverages Attendant to join our team in the beautiful Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and daily specials
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to high standards of presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations
  • Process payments accurately and handle cash transactions with care
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a courteous and helpful manner
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events or functions
  • Maintain knowledge of local attractions and provide recommendations to guests when asked
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
  • Excellent customer service skills with a warm, approachable demeanor
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry heavy trays
  • Attention to detail in food presentation and maintaining a clean work area
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards
  • Familiarity with local cuisine and cultural preferences is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training is beneficial
