Job Description

Minor Hotels is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to support and grow corporate, government, MICE and leisure business across our Western Australia and Northern Territory portfolio.

Reporting to the Area Director of Sales – SA/WA/NT, this role focuses on developing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships. It’s well suited to a commercially minded sales professional looking to step into a broader regional role and continue building their career within hospitality.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive corporate, government, MICE and leisure revenue across WA and NT properties
  • Grow existing accounts while actively developing new business (70/30 focus)
  • Implement group sales strategies to maximise occupancy and profitability
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and forward occupancy
  • Manage and maintain key client relationships through face-to-face and virtual engagement
  • Work closely with Hotel Managers, Revenue, Marketing and Commercial teams
  • Attend industry events, trade shows and networking functions
  • Ensure accurate reporting, CRM management and data integrity
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the Minor Hotels portfolio

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Business Development role within hospitality or tourism
  • Demonstrated success in increasing revenue and building strong client portfolios
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and planning capability
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader sales team
  • Professional presentation and a proactive, service-driven mindset
