Job Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Organize, plan and control the day-to-day operations of the canteen.
- Maintain HACCP cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Check the food quality every meal, presentation and set-up of the buffet and salad bar.
- Ensure all machinery is working properly on a regular basis.
- Ensure that all team members food complaints and suggestions are attended
- Assist and plan menu and organize team members duty roster for the cafeteria.
- Suggest measures to minimize operational cost and carry out monthly inventories of stores, equipment, etc.
- Prepare food store and condiments requisition as required.
- Ensure punctual meal service as per meal timings.
- Conduct food tasting when food arrives.
- Check maintenance work and handle follow-up with Engineering when required.
- Ensure deep cleaning is done at the cafeteria floor and furniture on a weekly basis.
- Maintain inventory of the cutlery, crockery, glassware, cruets, other equipment's etc.
- Ensure that water glasses, plates, soup bowls, are de-scaled as per schedule and ensure the de scaling of water boiler once a month.
- Receive feedback from team members and communicate through proper channel.
- Update display of daily menu.
- Ensure the operational equipment availability through the operation timings along with the highest possible level of cleanliness.
- Supervising team members’ lockers to ensure that highest standard of cleanliness is maintained.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of Human Resources storage areas.
- Responsible for ensuring that the casual meal coupons are properly distributed, and charges of extra coupons are submitted to Finance on time.
