Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel set to open in Q2 2026 will bring contemporary style and Laotian flair to the heart of the capital, just minutes from Wat Si Saket, Vientiane Night Market, and Chao Anouvong Park. The hotel’s 197 guest rooms and suites will blend modern design with local touches, offering its guests the choice of four dining venues, including an international all-day dining restaurant, a western comfort food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining restaurant. Guests will enjoy Avani Spa with five treatment rooms, an Avani Fit fitness centre and studio, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.
Job Description
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and executing the hotel’s overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth and establish a strong market presence for Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane. As a key member of the pre-opening leadership team, you will play a critical role in positioning the hotel across all market segments, building strong business pipelines, and delivering sustainable commercial performance.
You will lead the Sales team, develop strategic partnerships, and work closely with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to maximize business opportunities while ensuring alignment with Minor Hotels and Avani brand strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the overall Sales strategy and action plans in line with brand positioning, market conditions, and revenue objectives.
Lead all sales activities across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Government, Embassy, and Local Accounts segments.
Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with key clients, partners, travel trade, and corporate accounts.
Drive proactive sales initiatives, account management, and business development activities to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Work closely with Revenue Management and Marketing teams to optimize pricing strategies, demand generation, and market penetration.
Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, providing clear insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Sales team, fostering a results-driven and collaborative culture.
Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and business opportunities.
Support pre-opening activities, including sales structure setup, account acquisition, systems readiness, and SOP development.
Ensure all sales activities comply with Minor Hotels policies, brand standards, and ethical business practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive sales experience within the hospitality industry, with at least 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
Strong understanding of hotel sales strategies, market segmentation, and revenue drivers across multiple segments.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a commercial mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Lao and/or Thai required.
Highly motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced pre-opening environment.
Local market knowledge and experience required.
