Job Description

  • Create and produce a wide range of bakery and pastry items including
  • Croissants (classic, filled, and creative variations)
  • Breads (sourdough, brioche, focaccia, baguettes)
  • Cakes and cake batters (sponge, chiffon, pound, and layered cakes)
  • Cookies, muffins, brownies, and bars
  • Tarts, eclairs, choux pastry, and mille-feuille
  • Seasonal and custom-designed baked products
  • Innovate and test new recipes with a focus on creativity, presentation, and taste
  • Ensure consistency in product quality and adherence to brand standards
  • Supervise daily operations of the bakery and pastry section
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Monitor ingredient levels, manage ordering and inventory
  • Lead and train junior staff to follow recipes and techniques correctly
  • Collaborate with the management team on menu development and seasonal offerings
  • Staying current and informed of useful culinary trends
  • Ensure compliance with food safety & sanitation regulations

Qualifications

  • Requires 4 years’ experience in a high volume/high quality pastry production kitchen
  • Culinary diploma or professional pastry certification is preferred
  • Candidate must have advanced knowledge of pastries and desserts, sanitation and cost control.
  • The candidate must have the ability to manage all aspects of a pastry operation.
