We are inviting smart and enthusiastic interns willing to learn cloud computing based on open source projects and grow to Junior DevOps engineer and further.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deploy infrastructure on top of Mirantis cloud solutions;

• Migrate infrastructure services into K8s;

• Continuously propose and implement solutions for infrastructure improvements;

• Monitor and operate development/staging/production environments;

• Perform technical demo and knowledge sharing sessions with customer;

• Work with geographically distributed international teams on technical challenges and process improvements;

• Contribute to Mirantis DevOps knowledge base;

• Continuously improve tooling and technologies set;

• Participate in issues troubleshooting and investigation on different environments.

• 1+ years of software engineering or system administration experience;

• Experience with Linux operating systems;

• Scripting skills (BASH or Groovy, Python, Ruby, etc.);

• Linux fundamentals and experience working with linux distributions;

• Networking fundamentals knowledge and hands-on administration experience;

• English language on an intermediate level or above;

• Communication skills, a sense of diplomacy, and a genuine eagerness to help others;

• Self-development skills.

Will be a plus:

• Understanding of software development automation tools (Jenkins, Gerrit, etc.);

• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, etc.);

• Practical experience in application containerization: Docker, K8s, Helm;

• Experience with instrumenting and utilizing monitoring tools for determining the health status of a system (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
