Job Description

Modemetric is re-imagining BI and ready to introduce our platform, Lantern, to the US market.

Our Director of Sales will be our first sales hire in the US and will be a key part of our accelerating Go to Market strategy.  We have begun our outbound awareness campaign to educate our Enterprise and Mid-market targets about Lantern and are already seeing substantial interest and a growing pipeline.

We need a BI platform sales expert to engage prospects, conduct online demos, follow-up and close opportunities. This role is for an evangelical BI solution seller who can articulate Lantern's value proposition and creatively close our first set of customers. A blend of bizdev and sales acumen, you are consultative and a relationship builder: capable of operating in an early startup environment where processes and sales tools are still being created.  You will be a key part and stakeholder in that development as well.

Over time, you will move from individual contributor to sales leader, building a small team of sellers as our pipeline grows. 

Qualifications

  • MUST be deep in the BI industry, having spent at least the last 5 years personally, successfully selling well-known BI platform solutions to enterprise customers in the US at companies like Oracle, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos, SAP, Qlick, Birst, Information Builders, Tibco
  • Is a solution seller and long term relationship builder - no transactional "churn and burn" selling!
  • Can already speak knowledgeably and articulately on the BI landscape - the differences between BI platforms and can firmly grasp Lantern's unique value proposition in the market
  • A background that includes leading a small team is preferable
  • Enjoys the energy of an early stage startup, where we are still building the processes and team to introduce our product that we believe will transform an industry
