Job Description

Main point of contact for the Company’s Fleet Maintenance customers by performing the following duties:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for customer interface and collections activity for a group of Fleet Maintenance house charge accounts
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues
  • Process and review accounts for adjustments
  • Resolve customer discrepancies and short payments
  • Prepare customer account reconciliations
  • Obtain and mail, e-mail or fax invoice copies for customers, as requested
  • Research and process customer claims of invoice payment
  • Answer accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up
  • Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts
  • Authorize charges on commercial accounts requiring authorizations and special instructions
  • Facilitate discussions between the field and customers related to quality of work performed issues
  • Assist with the transition of new customers during acquisitions
  • Assist with related special projects, as required
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • High school and two years + related experience and/or training
  • Prior accounts receivable experience or customer service experience preferred
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Additional Information

Full time position 9:30-6:00  40/Hr work week with potential overtime required
