Job Description

Job Summary:  The Digital Marketing Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of digital marketing plans specific to Google Ads, including the delivery of guest retention and acquisition objectives for assigned Monro brands and geographic regions.

Essential Functions:

  • Management and maintenance of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), including providing strategic direction to digital agencies

  • Focus on local, regional, and national search and display campaigns

  • Evaluate and define business KPIs and effective ROI

  • Monitor budget spend and allocation for local campaigns to maximize impact on programs and tactics

  • Routinely monitor health of accounts for opportunities and take appropriate action

  • Strategically optimize ads campaigns’ structure and setup

  • Conduct A/B testing for optimal ad copy and User Experience (UX)

  • Stays current with industry trends and actively implements changes to Monro’s campaigns

  • Monitor environment in digital channels and responds with competitive initiatives

  • Execute programs in a timely and effective manner to meet Monro’s financial goals

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Management Responsibility: 

The Digital Marketing SEM Specialist is an individual contributor to the team and operates under the general direction of the Director, Digital Marketing

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance or related field and Google Ads Certification with a minimum of 3 years of Google Ads experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of program measurement and ROI 

  • Ability in managing vendor relationships in message, brand, etc. 

  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization and team members

  • Proven experience maintaining budget and tracking P&L spend

  • Extremely organized with the ability manage initiatives collaboratively as well as independently for multiple priorities and initiatives under minimal supervision with the ability to change focus quickly to meet business needs

  • Proficiency with creative/advertising programs and Microsoft Office products 

  • Strong proof-reading and creative vision  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 

  • Working knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts and practices

  • Strong background in analytics and proficient to compiling and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data for making insightful recommendations

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines.
