Moonstruck Chocolate Company in Portland, Oregon is adding to our team! We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating a clean and sparkling work space in our building, including heavy-duty cleaning on our manufacturing floor. The perfect candidate will have held similar positions, and should be able to describe and demonstrate their passion and ownership of taking care of a building. 

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitation of all areas of the Moonstruck headquarters building. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Building janitorial responsibilities, including but not limited to: 

o Cleaning of lobby, hallways, offices, conference rooms, and stairway. Includes dusting, spot cleaning, empty trash and recycling, clean glass surfaces, vacuum, dust or damp mop, and disinfecting high touch areas. 

o Cleaning of break room/locker room areas. Includes trash removal, spot cleaning, clean and disinfect countertops, sink, tables, chairs, and microwave ovens. Restock paper products and hand soap. Dust and damp mop floors. Surface clean between lunches and breaks. 

o Cleaning of restrooms. Includes trash removal, disinfect high touch areas, clean and polish all dispensers, mirrors, and fixtures, clean and disinfect sinks, urinals, toilets, and toilet seats. Restock paper products and hand soap. Sweep and mop floors. Dust high surfaces and vents. 

• Manufacturing area janitorial and sanitation responsibilities, including but not limited to: 

o Steam clean manufacturing floor. Steam clean floor mats. 

o Removal of trash and recycling. 

o Follow preventative equipment and racking cleaning schedule as designated by supervisor. 

• As needed, serve as utility staff for manufacturing, kitchen, and shipping departments. 

• Other responsibilities as required. 

• Experience in cleaning and sanitation in a previous role. 

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
• • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, climb up and down stairs, and stand for extended periods of time. Employee is required to grasp with hands and fingers, reach above and below waist height on a frequent basis. 

• OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 
• • While performing duties of this job, the employee will be required to read instructions in English, and communicate in English with co-workers throughout the building. Employee will be required to use equipment that operates at a high temperature.
