Job Description

Moravia is looking for several freelance writers and editors to join our team of Content Producers. This long-term project for a high-profile, Fortune 500 client covers hotels across many different destinations. Candidates, who may be based anywhere in the world, will write and edit factual, objective descriptions, ensuring accuracy and consistency of style, structure and voice. As well as adhering to client-specific guidelines, Content Producers will liaise effectively with members of the in-house editorial team. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • All applicants must take and pass an editing and writing test to be considered 
  • Position requires successful graduation from training and willingness to work a minimum of 20+ hours per week
  • An immediate start is expected upon successful completion of training
  • Full-time availability (30+ hours per week) for duration of project is preferred
  • No travel or hotel stay required

Qualifications

SKILLS

  • Accurate and efficient researcher
  • Meticulous writer and editor with exceptional command of English grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Ability to
  1. follow very structured editorial guidelines and style 
  2. prioritize content requirements based on audience and market
  3. adapt to new requirements, both editorial and technical, as the project develops
  • Technically savvy, with experience in CMS (content management systems) and spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills and time management; able to respond promptly and professionally to editors’/project managers’ queries and directives

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of professional editorial/writing experience
  • Proven delivery of quality content in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with hotel market, global and/or travel experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of foreign languages preferred, but not required (note: this is not a translation or localization position)
