Job Description

The Site Medical Lead at the direction of the Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the ongoing development, growth and oversight/authority of site medical operations in collaboration with the clinic manager. They are responsible for promoting the MFHC strategic plan through high standards of practice, development of policies, protocols and practice guidelines, participating in rigorous performance improvement monitoring, and staff education. This position participates in clinical and administrative decision-making with special attention paid to the pursuit of the IHI Triple Aim of improved patient outcomes, enhanced population health and controlling cost.                                               

Qualifications

Education or Formal Training & Experience:  

a. Licensed MD, DO

b. MD’s must be Board Certified in Primary Care Medicine.

c. Valid medical license/DEA registration in the jurisdiction of the facilities.

d. 3 years experience in caring for underserved populations. 

e. ACLS certification.

f. Electronic Medical Record competency and proficiency

g. Effective interpersonal skills and an understanding of the interdependent roles of various allied health professions. 

h. Bilingual fluency in Spanish strongly preferred

i. 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred

 

Knowledge, Skill & Ability: 

a. Essential to have ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds. 

b. Essential to have ability to use routine office equipment such as computer and telephone.

c. Essential to have ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, twist and reach.

d. Essential to have ability to hear routine conversations.

e. Essential to have ability to comprehend both oral and written communications.

f. Ability to establish and maintain courteous working relationships with patients, staff team members, insurance entities and others  

g. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

h. Ability to attend meetings outside of the service area.

i. Ability to work flexible hours to meet job requirements.


Physical Requirements and Workplace Environment: 

a. Requires periods of standing and walking.

b. Requires long periods of time sitting while on the telephone and/or doing computer work.

c. Requires sufficient near vision to be able to read documents and computer screen.

d. Must pass a criminal background check

e. Annual Flu vaccine required. Employer will provide

f. Obtain 2 step PPD for tuberculosis (annually if provider). Employer will provide 

g. Obtain vaccine records for MMR, Varicella, T-DaP and Hep B. Employer will provide

h. OSHA Classification is Category I: All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissue, or a potential for spills or splashes of these fluids.   

i. HIPAA Classification: Unrestricted Access: A workforce member with unrestricted access will have full access to patient’s protected health information, including the patient’s entire medical record, for patient care purposes.  


Additional Information

This is a 1.0 FTE position 

Hiring range is $146,000 - $172,000 depending on years experience plus $14,000 for rounding
