Accelerated Schools is an accredited private school in Denver, CO that offers highly accelerated programs for students who are gifted and talented, as well as those who may need remedial help. With an average class size of 7:1, each student is enrolled with an individualized academic plan of instruction, relevant to their individual needs. This allows our students to be prepared for the next level without the need for remediation. Our school is seeking to add to our team an experienced MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR.

 

 

 

Job Description

Job Expectations and Responsibilities

Plans and implements sales, marketing and school development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties.

  • Directs and coordinates all marketing/communications/ public relations activities for the school. Responsible for advertising, media relations, and promotional activities, market development and expansion.

  • Promotes Accelerated Schools’ mission and vision.

  • Develop the Scholarship Fund.

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent school image throughout all marketing programs.

  • Responsible for the overall planning and management of asset development including fund raising, donor services and gift recognition.  Manages donor development, fundraising for sponsorships, and ongoing fundraising activities. Manages logistical and administrative components of major donor and planned giving events.

  • Creates, plans and manages special events that produce income, increase revenues from admissions, build memberships and relationships, and increase public awareness of and support for the school.

  • Coordinates and supervises informative,  promotional and fund raising activities within the community .

  • Manages the day-to-day marketing and communications related activities. Oversees all aspects of marketing and communications program including budget. Develops and implements media relations plans.

  • Designs and produces internal/external publications to promote the vision and mission of the school. Including but not limited to newsletter, brochures, advertisements, flyers, etc. Maintain vendor relationships.

  • Provides leadership in Marketing and Public Relations development to reach maximum potential for the school.

  • Reviews and analyzes marketing performance. Prepares and presents  marketing activity reports to Executive Management and Board of Directors.

  • Manages process to build relationships with existing  contributors and prospects.

     

Qualifications

Job Specifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred with a minimum of five years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.

  • Effective verbal and written communicator.

  • Experience Marketing and Promoting Public Relations in a non-profit environment a plus.

  • Experience representing Marketing and Public Relations to a Board of Directors a plus.
