Starting out as a food commissary, J.S.B. Industries has developed into a national baking manufacturing company and is home to Muffin Town, Aesops Bagels, Smart Choice Whole grain baked goods, and Madeline’s Gourmet Cookies.

The Quality Assurance/Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for revising, formulating and developing nutritional and ingredient information for manufactured bakery goods compliant with FDA food nutritional standards (USFDA), School Nutritional Standards (SNA), as well as local, state and federal standards.

Must be familiar with Genesis, ESHA, and other applicable accredited nutritional formulation software.

Must be able to administer and maintain applicable Food Safety Programs and Policies, implementation and continuous improvement of Food Safety focused programs including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), SQF Food Safety and Quality systems as well as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Implement, maintain and improve SQF (Safety Quality Food) program and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Review and Revise Product Recipe Formulation

Validate SQF Procedures

Evaluate food safety concerns in facility and implement programs to eliminate hazards

Must be an effective communicator both verbal and written

Perform other duties as assigned

1 - 3 years practical experience nutritional design, product design and regulatory compliance

1 - 3 years experience in Food Safety or Management of Quality or Production/Project Management in the food industry

Experience with Genesis and ESHA Software

HACCP and SQF Certifications desired but not required

 
 FULL TIME POSITION -- 40.0 hours per week, medical and dental benefit package are available after qualified waiting period
