Job Description

Seeking a passionate marketing and communications professional to help launch the sales division of our start up. This position will report to the VP of Business Development as well as work closely with our Founder. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and motivated professional with a charismatic personality able to engage a variety stakeholders. They will liken themselves as a “doer” that can actualize the ideas and strategies of our founder. This role is ideal for a professional with a passion in business development, sales and social entrepreneurship.

With our cross-collaborative model, we present a unique business development experience in which you will get to work with three distinct target client groups: Fortune 500 Consumer brands, educators and nonprofit organizations.

This role will have a critical hand in overseeing the initial development of a social loyalty and rewards program along with growing brand recognition among education and nonprofit clients. You will assist with lead generation, build new relationships with Fortune 500 reward partners, and expand our user base.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all brand offerings.
  • Oversee market research creating databases for client outreach, client cold-calling, and lead generation to identify new prospects
  • Prepare proposals for C-suite business executives and assist with developing compelling sales and partnership pitches
  • Explore new ways to expand client reach and brand recognition
  • Perform sales calls to develop new client relationships and grow revenues
  • Nurture leads, perform sales calls and assist with sales meetings to develop new client relationships and grow revenues
  • Help the VP of Business Development manage communications and nuture relationships with existing clients
  • Provide input for strategic planning and business development processes



Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be able to handle a dynamic role and be versatile in their communications experience. You should be a strategic thinker comfortable selling to C-suite executives and a persuasive communicator able to engage multiple stakeholders to generate leads and close deals.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Postgraduate or Masters Degree with a focus in Business Development, Management and/or Sales (Strong, motivated undergraduate candidates in their final year of study will be considered)
  • Prior work experience with proven success in a marketing or senior sales role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
  • Ability to point to specific examples of having led organizational transformation projects and program development.
  • Excellent writing and positioning skills with experience crafting senior executive level proposals and business briefs
  • Comfortable with cold calls, lead generation and follow ups
  • Excellent communicator and networker; experience building influencer relationships, B2B sales or working with senior leaders in education or charitable sectors is a benefit
  • Fundraising or sponsorship experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures is a benefit
  • Action-oriented, friendly and positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
