Job Description
Noticias Telemundo is seeking a Podcast Producer to lead the production of our flagship podcast hosted by anchor Julio Vaqueiro, as well as other future audio and video podcast projects. This person will oversee the creative and technical process ensuring the highest journalistic and production standards.
This is a project/limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Job Duties:
- Produce, script, record, edit, and publish Noticias Telemundo’s podcasts.
- Shape the editorial tone, structure, and sound design of each episode in collaboration with anchors, reporters, editors, and the digital team.
- Manage pre-production and recording logistics, including guest coordination, scheduling, and studio/field setup.
- Supervise post-production, including editing, mixing, and mastering, ensuring a polished final product.
- Collaborate with the video team to produce video-podcast versions; knowledge of video recording and editing workflows is desired.
- Lead podcast publishing and distribution, optimizing for reach and discoverability across all platforms.
- Manage and organize content through audio CMS tools; experience with these systems is highly valued.
- Support the development of additional podcast projects that expand Noticias Telemundo’s audio storytelling presence.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the audio industry, including podcast or radio production.
- Previous experience working in a newsroom or fast-paced journalistic environment is required.
- Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills, with the ability to shape compelling narratives for Latino audiences.
- Proficiency with industry-standard audio software (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or similar).
- Familiarity with audio content management systems (CMS) and podcast analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of video production and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar) preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
