Job Description

The Change & Configuration Manager will follow and adhere to the Central Change & Configuration Management Process.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage the processes and people responsible for co-ordinating and managing the change management and configuration management processes working alongside an offshore Change & Problem Manager to provide a seamless efficient and effective team across both geographical locations.

The Change Management objective is to ensure that standard methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes , minimising the number and impact of any related incidents upon the service, including authorisation, approval, implementation and review of changes in a controlled manner.

The Configuration Management objective is to establish and maintain the integrity and control of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the Configuration Items (Cis) within the CMDB.

Role Responsibilities: -

  • Maintain quality of service by enforcing excellent customer service standards, analysing and resolving service quality issues and recommending service improvements.
  • Act as a primary communication interface for the change and config team, liaising with all levels of management and ensuring resolutions are brought to conclusion in a timely manner escalating issues to the Service Delivery Manager.
  • Monitor and measure team performance establishing and maintaining an excellent level of service quality.
  • Lead T.CABs and CABs and ensure cover is arranged were required for the team.
  • Support analysts in their day to day activities, identifying training gaps and improving the efficiency of the team.
  • Co-ordinate reporting deadlines and ensure all reports are automated where possible.
  • Identify any process or performance issues and implement Continual Service Improvement strategies
  • Provide onsite and remote training to both internal engineering teams and management teams were required.
  • Monitor and measure team performance establishing and maintaining an excellent level of service quality.
  • Where required attend service reviews for all contracts supported by Change & Config Management ensuring actions are assigned and completed, escalating any issues to the Service Delivery Manager
  • Complete any additional activities requested by the management team.

Qualifications

Essential

  • One Year + Experience working as a Senior Change/Config Analyst
  • Two Years’ experience working in a change team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including previous experience liaising with all levels of management
  • Self-motivated
  • Flexibility in approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer-facing and influencing skills
  • Ability to make decisions and take ownership
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Desirable

  • Knowledge / Experience using Ivanti Service Management
