This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.

The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for the delivery (and support) of NEXTDC business systems, including software, systems and platforms, which are essential to achieving our company objectives. You will be integral in defining the direction and strategy for our software; by leading and driving the software engineering team, you will develop innovative solutions and products that meet our customer's needs, and continue down the path of best of breed for NEXTDC.

As a leader, you will take accountability for your critical feature team of back and front end developers, testers and technical writers. You will lead them, inspire them and support them in order to successfully deliver projects on time, as well as provide them with opportunities for growth and continued learning.

You will have a background in Software Engineering or Technical Design/Architecture with recent experience managing a team of frontend and backend developers. You will need to have a strong understanding of front end architecture (JSS, HTML, CSS) and back end architecture (.Net, PHP), as well as demonstrated experience working with modern cloud infrastructure, including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle and Azure.
