This opportunity is to join nJoy as the Leader of our engineering team and as a product leader in our company.

As Head of Engineering at nJoy you'll own the vision and roadmap for the expansion of our nJoy Mobile Shopping Management technology platform. You’ll work closely with our founding team to align our technology initiatives with our overall strategy, define success criteria, and develop clear plans and milestones. Day to day, you’ll work hands on with code, and collaborate with our team to develop and execute on our roadmap and ship features that deliver significant value to our customers.   

What you'll do

• Build, lead, and oversee the strategy, development, and performance of our Mobile Shopping Management platform.
• Be the technical leader, force multiplier and influencer across our engineering base
• Own the technology strategy, processes, and organizational structure for nJoy as we scale
• Responsible for driving thought leadership, best practice and increased performance throughout the software engineering community.
• Developing relationships with customers, senior industry engineering leaders and professional bodies to enable software capability to take best advantage of future market trends.
• Through partnership and communication with the client, work with business and functional directors within Wipro Digital to create collaborative working relationships that demonstrably drive the Engineering growth strategy.
• Recognised as an expert in the software profession internally with colleagues and client, building teams with the right skills and competencies to meet current and future demands in order to deliver excellent results to customers.
• Winning new business, own the solutioning and pre-sales life cycle working in tandem with the sales / account management teams
• Presenting at internal client conferences as well as in industry forums
• Wipro Digital brand ambassador driving brand recognition in the local marketplace

Who we are looking for

• Demonstrated competence in great technical design, solution scoping and planning 
• Fluency in at least one modern web framework and programming language
• Fluency in database design and engineering
• A growth mindset and an eagerness to learn 
• An ability to thrive self-directed in a fast moving, virtual environment with a high degree of autonomy
• Ability to be hands on in the code, lead a team, and work strategically with leadership
• Action oriented
• Loves travel, and loves shopping while traveling!

• Fluency in PHP, React and MySQL
• Demonstrated impact working closely with sales and marketing as part of a growth organization
• Demonstrated impact in a world class SaaS product engineering environment
