NOCD is an award-winning digital health company focused on identifying people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and managing them using evidence-based treatment. Although OCD affects over 181 million people globally, is ranked by the W.H.O. as a top 10 most disabling condition, and costs 3X more to treat than depression, over 90% of the OCD population isn’t able to access effective care due to stigma and misdiagnosis. As a result, OCD patients often go untreated and suffer in silence, which is why it’s nicknamed "the secret illness.”

NOCD is solving this global problem by identifying OCD patients online and managing them using our evidence-based OCD treatment platform. Inside NOCD, members can access a licensed mental health professional with specialty training in OCD who can offer online diagnostic interviews, video-based teletherapy sessions, and message-based support. In between each session, members can access moderated support communities and tech-enabled therapeutic tools to ensure they have constant support whenever their provider isn’t around.  In an integrated model using our app, researchers at Columbia Medical Center found it to be effective in reducing symptoms of OCD.

Job Description

NOCD’s Head of Marketing serves as the primary lead for growing NOCD’s community and driving therapy enrollment in customer accounts.

  • Own positioning, messaging, branding, segmentation, strategy, and creative direction focused on continuing NOCD’s evolution in the behavioral health space
  • Set clear goals for delivering growth in NOCD therapy conversions metrics and in-app community engagement
  • Develop strong audience-focused marketing priorities that builds the foundation for NOCD brand, content, product, and growth marketing campaigns
  • Deepen audience insights through developing significant quantitative and qualitative understanding of brand and market trends including awareness, perception, and engagement by audience targets
  • Provide inspirational leadership to marketing and product teams in a hands-on/executional way; ability to dig into the details and set a high-quality bar for all inputs and outputs
  • Create capabilities that bring the NOCD brand to life in greater dimension through targeted, measurable experience-based events & activations and integrations with other digital health partners
  • Act as a recognized and active expert in marketing, product, brand, and voice of the customer for the company by continually educating and sharing work and knowledge as well as blazing a trail of creativity and innovation
  • Promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation, rational risk-taking and tradeoffs
  • Lead & scale the team with vision, empathy and humor


  • 10+ years of lifecycle marketing leadership experience with a track record of proven success as a growth executive including a consumer facing company
  • Strong, proven leadership skills and highly developed interpersonal skills to lead and manage a diverse team of marketing and product professionals
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling a company from “small to big” in a competitive and evolving market; has a growth mindset and draws energy from change as opportunity
  • Analytic approach to campaign creation, with a focus on testing, learning, and optimizing future campaigns
  • Deep experience defining, analyzing and reporting on performance marketing metrics in a multi-channel environment (i.e., CPC, CPA, CAC, LTV, Yield)
  • Deep experience defining, analyzing, and reporting on product metrics in a multi-channel environment
  • Energetic and infectious leadership in a fast-paced startup environment. Interacts well with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to marry insights & data with storytelling, narrative development, and messaging
  • Deep experience in brand building - both strategically and creatively; phenomenal brand development to delight customers
  • Experience building and scaling teams, budgets, tools, and programs
  • Detail oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once
  • Inspirational public speaker
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for mental health is a huge plus
