Native Edge Landscape is seeking an Assistant/Jr Designer to help streamline our current design process. Applicants primary responsibility will be to assist our designers, as well as occasionally take designs from start to finish. Some office/admin/secretarial work is to be expected.

Duties may include:

• Assisting office staff with processing of incoming leads
• Setting up and/or facilitating consult meetings with new leads
• Conducting meetings when/as needed
• Assisting designers in creating designs when needed
• Communicating with clients as needed
• Preparation and presentation of finished design to client
• Working with install foreman during install to ensure clear implementation of design is carried out.
• Designing to Native Edge Landscape's standards while matching client's wants, needs, tastes and budget
• Design/ Installation Sales

This is a awesome opportunity for a new designer that is looking to gain experience or build his/her portfolio. Although the job will start out focused mostly in administrative duties, hired applicant will be encouraged to grow into a full time designer position with our team.

• Knowledge of native, eco-friendly, xeriscape, water-wise, and sustainable landscape designs and practices
• Must have some experience in landscape design (hand drawn drafting experience is a plus)
• Self motivated. Must be able to responsibly use time in a "set your own schedule" environment
• Reasonably Tech Savvy (proficiency in a Mac/Apple environment is a plus)
• Clean and Professional
• Friendly and engaging
• Please be prepared to show examples of past landscape design work or experiences
