Job Description

At Nave Newell, you will:

  • Perform technical engineering work such as site grading, stormwater management, value engineering.

  • Be part of the planning, design, monitoring and managing of projects.

  • Implement civil engineering practices for grading and roadway/parking design.

  • Prepare utility infrastructure designs, such as laying out water and sanitary sewer services,
    conveyance of stormwater drain piping, stormwater basin sizing and BMP design.

  • Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications and coordinate with the design team.

  • Pay attention to the details. Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation for submittal to various local, State and Federal agencies.

  • Be an expert. Prepare specifications, studies, research, investigations and independently evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

  • Make quality personal. Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports and design projects.

  • Be a problem solver. Assess engineering problems, evaluate alternatives and develop solutions.

  • Be a team player and a mentor. Be there for each other and be willing to step into another role or help a co-worker when that’s what’s required for success.


Qualifications

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • 3+ years of relevant experience of the land development approval process, including grading, E&S and stormwater management.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Professional Registration: EIT required, P.E. preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks in a highly organized manner within a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong proficiency in CAD.
