Job Description

OVERVIEW

 

We are looking for an innovative, creative, results driven manager to lead the planning and execution of NewsCred’s hosted marketing events and sponsored events. These events will successfully drive leads to the sales team and build brand awareness of our business among leaders in the marketing industry.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, execute, evaluate and refine the global event marketing strategy in collaboration with the VP of Marketing, ensuring consistency with the marketing plan and business strategy of the company 
  • Identify new event opportunities; define a process for assessing the business value of new events, presenting the recommendations to key stakeholders. 
  • Work closely with the communications team and the sales team to define event/program goals, set objectives and execute all programs in alignment with overall company strategy and positioning 
  • Manage and enhance participation in key conferences, speaking engagements and sponsored events 
  • Oversee the global events calendar and ensure long-term planning for an effective events program. 
  • Work with external and internal communications staff to ensure events receive optimal exposure and coverage 
  • Oversee individual event budgets, including measurement and reporting
  • Manage event partner selection and management, including negotiating rates to obtain best cost and service 
  • Evaluate and report effectiveness of an event or program through evaluation surveys/feedback forms. 
  • Track all leads and other qualitative and quantitative results around events/programs and provide reporting as needed and work with the demand generation team to prove ROI of all events
  • Build and maintain useful relationships with key industry associations 
  • Plan, manage and execute with input from our VP of Marketing the creation, marketing and rollout of our annual Content Marketing Summit
  • Help ensure the Events database is kept current with customer contacts derived from events

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 4 years experience (preferably in high-technology/ SaaS companies) with end-to-end customer facing and marketing experience
  • Experience planning special events/programs and knowledge of event production
  • Proven ability to independently establish objectives, plan, and evaluation of all aspects of conference/special events in line with overall marketing strategy 
  • Knowledge of content marketing and passion for transforming the marketing landscape
  • Strong project management skills – the ability to own and drive project schedule from start to finish, including managing peers and individuals senior to you.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to understand vendor contracts. 
  • Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills. 
  • Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills
