Job Description

As NewsCred’s Marketing Designer, you will define the future of NewsCred’s brand and visual identity. From websites and microsites, to experiential design, print collateral and 360-degree campaigns, you will have an opportunity to take on and lead our most creative projects. At NewsCred, design is an integral part of our business. We prioritize creativity and believe that this is what truly sets us apart from other companies in the tech space. Our brand purpose is at the core of everything that we do. 

We’re looking for a hands-on, energetic team member who thinks big and is insanely creative. Who cares about using design to impact the lives of people in a really positive way -- to inspire emotion, collaboration and action.

Qualifications

What you would be in charge of
  • Bringing ambitious, creative ideas to the table that will help separate us from the rest of the crowd. 
  • Creating, making, launching. You will oversee strategy, build and execution for projects that range from print collateral to event experiences to websites, emails and awesome swag. 
  • Delighting our customers and audience every step of the way across all of our touch points
  • Using whatever tools are necessary to get the job done. We work with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/SASS, whiteboards, pen and paper, hand paint, etc.
  • Destroying the sales team on the ping pong table with your sick backhand.
What your history might look like
  • You’ve cut your teeth (4 to 6 years worth) designing for brands and delivering exceptional quality work
  • You understand the web, have built web-related properties by hand (on the web), and continuously look to be on the cutting edge of technology
  • You’ve been trained academically in the studies of design and creative thinking
  • You’ve juggled a lot of projects at once and know how to get sh*t done with tight timelines and big expectations
  • You’re a great collaborator and know how to efficiently communicate your vision and thoughts
  • You’re a stickler for details and passionate about delivering the highest quality work

So you think you’re really special?
  • You might be really really good at coding in addition to already being good at design (a big plus)
  • You’re experienced with the Agile method
  • You might have launched a couple of sweet side projects before
  • You have experience providing design/art direction and managing others
