Job Description

The role of Key Account Manager will serve as the face of Next Gear to our clients. The role will primarily be the only Next Gear representative who communicates with the client. As a result, it is important for the Key Account Manager to build a strong relationship and to deliver a positive client service experience.

The Key Account Manager should reinforce the Next Gear value proposition with the client, listening to the client to gain an understanding of their individualized needs and be able to direct them to the appropriate Next Gear product, feature, or service.

Managing client expectations will be another facet of the Key Account Manager's role at Next Gear. This undertaking will be achieved by keeping the client informed with status updates regarding releases or support requests. It's imperative for the Key Account Manager to resolve situations quickly while being honest with timelines and resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your clients including escalation issues, outages, support issues, training requests, or product requests
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, client stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of Next Gear's solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate client specific release interests as well as functionality of other release items
  • Help client better understand Next Gear value proposition and offering
  • Manage client expectations in accordance with Next Gear's strategies and timelines
  • Manage and solve client conflicts
  • Communicate clearly the progress of client initiatives and assist with project management
  • Understand when to engage other departments at Next Gear to assist client
  • Forecast and track key account metrics – future responsibility
  • Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment – future responsibility

Qualifications

  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Quick learner and technology focused-- the Key Account Manager will need to be well-versed in Next Gear’s product offerings: ADMIN, ClientConnect, ENTERPRISE and Mobile
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on client needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

Additional Information

Position located in Oxford, MS, and must come to office every day. Full-time only.
