What's the role?
As an Endpoint Security Engineer, you support systems infrastructure, hardware, and software, including: analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, provisioning, upgrade and day-to-day operations. Applying established best practices, you will take charge of build decisions, infrastructure and systems software design on larger, more complex systems to achieve strategic objectives in the areas of service management, risk management and project delivery. You will: execute Detail Design tasks and create associated deliverables; consult on right-sizing decisions for infrastructure, software solutions, and services; provide functional analysis and oversight for incident management; establish monitoring and automation processes to increase efficiencies; develop scope, scale and budgets for support projects. A strategic thinker, you move between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in those around you.

 

 

Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Information Technology with specific demonstrated experience in a complex business environment
  • Demonstrated Software Engineering experience including:
    • Endpoint protection Design, Implementation and operational support.  Symantec, Tanium, VPN preferred
    • VPN design and operational support
    • Web Proxy configuration and operational support
    • Firewall design, implementation and operational support experience in NextGen Firewall technologies, Palo Alto preferred
    • Ability to troubleshoot issues throughout multiple security stack layers
    • Previous Network Engineering experience required
  • Strong Network and Security Endpoint device experience desired
  • Certifications in Comptia Security +, CISSP desired
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor other staff members
  • Strong ability to independently identify and resolve critical and complex issues through effective problem solving skills
  • Strong ability to maintain and strengthen relationships; ability to effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to multiple levels of the organization
  • Proven skills in conflict management, decision making and negotiation preferred
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to work within deadlines, prioritize work, and multi-task
  • Proven ability in dealing with ambiguity
