Job Description

GEOINT Technical Support

  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Location: Arnold, MO
  • Years of Experience: 7-10 Years

Responsibilities:

Supports the GEOINT analysts directly as part of daily operational and functional mission support within NGA's GEOINT branches and divisions. Provides research and ad hoc projects utilizing multiple computer databases and special source libraries. Performs research, contributes to the preparation of analytical and technical reports and publications, prepares graphics, and maintains hard/softcopy files, including target folders, film files, collateral files, and other publications. Creates and maintains databases, summary data, spreadsheets, graphic documents, and maintains Intelink web sites. Utilizes Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to extract and/or access geospatial information, derivative information, and multi-intelligence data to provide requirements, currency, accuracy, readiness, responsiveness, data integrity, and relevancy recommendations that support the analysis and visualization of geospatial data available for use by military, intelligence, and policymaking communities. Adapts existing software applications, tools, and data to meet new requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree within a related field 
  • 7-10 years of experience within a related field 
  • Have knowledge of NGA GEOINT products and data to include commercial imagery, satellite imagery systems and related information libraries 
  • Have experience in maintaining, disseminating, troubleshooting, and acquiring GEOINT data from various sources
  • Have background in connecting web applications to databases and database systems 
  • Have a working knowledge of LINUX, Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7) and HTML
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment  
  • Familiarity with current NGA products, image flow, and conducting media transfers 
  • Able to independently initiate, manage, execute and report tasks as identified by the government 
  • Background in Customer Service processes with an understanding of technical problems, process improvement, and solutions as they relate to the current and future business and mission environment at NGA 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to assist others in solving problems, to include engaging across the IC & DOD
  • Experience with providing customer service support activities across organizational elements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Have a background in implementing change, communicating change and changing business processes 
  • Experience that has led to the understanding of NGA’s mission and business processes in order to help users solve their problems  
  • Expert in using collaboration/social software tools employed by NGA
  • Experience with writing SOPs, CONOPS, and other documents
  • Ability to collaborate with other Xperience Offices and NGA Offices/KCs to ensure that customer needs are articulated clearly
  • Familiarity with Media Services, NGA’s Gateway, Source and all operations centers, service centers, and business processes in NGA
  • Knowledge of Custom Media Generation System (CMGS), Tailored Media Generation System (TMGS) and STIL Media Services functions as it pertains to data dissemination processes.
  • Knowledge of NGA GEOINT products and data, satellite imagery systems and related information libraries
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of software and services to assist customers with geospatial-intelligence request for data
