Job Description
Responsible for ensuring that all Process general works and services are completed to an appropriate standard, as directed by the Gold Room Supervisor. Perform gold room tasks, including the pouring of gold bullion.
4 days on, 3 days off roster
- Perform daily inspections on the infrastructure, embankments, and pipelines associated with the raw and return water systems.
- Monitor beach profiles of the deposited tailings to ensure compliance and structural integrity of dams are maintained.
- Undertake or oversee the installation, removal, and maintenance of the infrastructure for dust suppression, water evaporation tailings, seepage, raw and return water.
- Undertake minor construction, fencing, site maintenance and signage works.
- Ensure access roads to crucial service areas are maintained and safe.
- Assists in the Gold room when required
- Ensure the appropriate security procedures and forms are signed for entry into gold room.
- If required conduct / co-ordinate all gold pours and shipments according to schedule, ensuring optimum bullion quality is produced to the schedule timing.
- Furnace Rebuilds
- Mercury handling (PPE, and Gas Monitoring)
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement
Qualifications
- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
- Previous Processing plant experience, mechanical maintenance knowledge of pumps and pumping techniques and sound mechanical knowledge would be well regarded.
- First Aid Certificate
- Ability to pass additional security screening checks
- Ability to wear a full-face mask daily
