Our High end Retail giant is in the midst of transforming to a “Services-Oriented” company powered by Technology Team of the Future initiative. They are scaling up their “BIZARCHDEVOPS” (BADO) teams to deliver an Enterprise-scale, Retail Services Platform and a set of Business, Utility, and Integration Services following an Agile and Continuous Delivery methodology.

They are focused on “proudly engineering the best customer experience” and enhancing  customer shopping, sales associates selling, merchandisers and buyer’s product fulfillment, and vendor drop-ship partner’s experience, improve their speed to market, and deliver differentiated, scalable and flexible Services to drive their Omni-Channel retail growth strategy for the year 2020!


They’re looking for a few disciplined and creative Software Engineers with “full stack” experience that have the ability to operate independently among small teams or “Squads” and can execute seamlessly across our customer, business, architecture, engineering, delivery and operational worlds. You will be a member of a small, empowered, and fully accountable team that designs, builds, and operates multiple enterprise services that power our business and customer experiences.

Expectations and Key Competencies Include:

  • You are able to communicate, mentor and collaborate with little day-to-day guidance, both as an individual and as part of an Enterprise Architecture and Services Delivery team with an entrepreneurial spirit to get things done quickly and constantly innovate.
  • You have designed and developed highly-scalable and reliable (99.99% availability SLAs) architecture solutions based on EAI and SOA [SOAP / REST] web services that support multiple channel-specific consumers.
  • You have hands-on configuration engineering and production operational support experience using Tibco’s product suite, including: Business Works, Business Events, Enterprise Messaging, Patterns, Active Spaces, Silver Fabric, Adaptors, Spotfire, Hawk, & Administrator. Ideally, you have a current Tibco Professional Certification in one or more products.
  • You are able to design, engineer and deploy services-oriented software solution components (cloud-based and/or on-premise) according to a defined customer journey map tied to a business process capability, technical architecture and information model.
  • You take responsibility and ownership of your engineering deliverables.
  • You are well-versed in SOA design patterns (e.g., Event-driven architecture, Complex Event Processing, In-Memory Caching, Canonical Data Modeling) and familiar with existing SOA development platforms.
  • You are an expert in multiple programming (i.e., .Net, Java) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Ruby, Ant, Groovy, JScript).
  • You design & develop for optimal performance, security and all “ilities”.
  • You are comfortable with writing tests (e.g., unit, component, performance) and verifying all “ilities” for the code and configurations you create.
  • You exhibit a strong desire to learn new tools, technologies, and processes and drive acceptance and adoption amongst your peers by doing.
  • You have an understanding of the core ideals embodied in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), including “everything under source control", "automate everything", and “quality is everyone’s job”.
  • You have an understanding of the craftsmanship required to create software based solutions and you take pride in your work.
  • You believe in the ideas behind emergent design or just enough architecture, just enough design, continuous refactoring, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • You have an understanding of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
