Opening Technologies, Inc. is a local, family owned Door Hardware business located in Concord, California.  Our business is supplying, installing, and servicing premier doors, hardware, life safety & security solutions to our commercial customers.  Our staff holds a passion for providing a high level of customer service with very detailed accuracy. 


We are currently looking for enthusiastic and industry experienced associates to join our team.

 

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. 

Job Description

The Customer Technical Support position is responsible for the technical support functions for the access control and key systems. This position reports to the Services Project Manager and provides internal technical support as well as external customer support for all projects.

 

Required Skills

Technical Support

  • Maintain and update records and tracking databases
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems utilizing documentation, online assistance and other staff members when necessary
  • Provide support, training and customer development as required by the customer and/or sales representative
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry hardware and software
  • Support the company’s philosophy of customer service and managing total quality

Documentation and Remote Customer Support

  • Complete quality control assurance of materials produced and records logged by production.
  • Perform internal audits of restricted materials and records
  • Provide customer service and technical support as requested from remote desktop for key services software applications
  • Train and develop other associates skill sets pertaining to cylinders, master keying and locking hardware

Field Service and Support

  • Complete field site surveys and floor plan renderings of customer facilities
  • Assist in shop and field installation projects

 

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel specifically) required
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service
  • Eagerness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and outside training opportunities
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Customer service skills
  • BA/BS preferred
