1.) Support shipping, receiving and value-added services departments in the following areas:
2.) Print, prioritize, separate pick sheets and disperse to Warehouse Workers throughout the day.
3.) Determine appropriate shipping methods of materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
4.) Verify accuracy of outbound shipments.
5.) Prepare necessary documentation, including labels, work orders, Bill of Ladings and shipping packets and orders to route materials.
6.) Contact carrier representative to schedule and issue shipping instructions.
7.) Work closely with transportation department and customer service department regarding shipping concerns.
8.) Creates Inbound Shipments in Warehouse Management System (WMS), using information supplied by SBU's.
9.) Verify accuracy of inbound shipments.
10.) Set up carrier appointments for inbound shipments, acts as first line of communication for inbound carriers upon arrival.
11.) Process and track returns and communicate return product variances with Customer Service.
12.) Performs daily cycle counts.
13.) Monitors and reports inventory variances and performs research on discrepancies.
14.) Performs mandatory allotment of cycle counts daily.
15.) Receives a daily allocation list and assesses product availability. In case of low product availability, makes necessary system moves that create directed work for lift operators to move product to desired slot location within the distribution center.
16.) Enters work orders for daily value-added services order fulfillment.
17.) Directs workload and resolves workflow issues in the absence of department supervisor.
18.) Provide administrative support, including answering department telephone and filing of paperwork.
19.) Assist in the maintenance and update of Work Instructions for departmental tasks.
20.) Work on special projects as assigned by Distribution Center management team.
1.) High school diploma or GED.
2.) 1-3 years of experience as a warehouse clerk (shipping, receiving, and/or inventory control) in a distribution environment or 2 years of warehouse experience.
3.) 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office Products, including Excel and Word.
1.) Able to operate material handling equipment.
2.) Be a team player.
3.) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
