PCE Health and Fitness is a multi-brand health and fitness company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Brands include LifeSpan fitness equipment and health accessories and the Interactive Health Partner online health and fitness management program.

The company is further integrating the LifeSpan Fitness Club with our fitness equipment using Bluetooth communications and mobile apps.  We are currently seeking to hire a Web Developer with a strong background in Magento to support this growing area of our business.

Web Programmer

This position will coordinate with the eCommerce director as well as the graphics development team for all aspects of the development process including requirements definition, user interface design, graphic design, programming, testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain LifeSpan’s Magento-based e-commerce website
• Support project manager with task planning of software updates and enhancements
• Debug and easily and quickly read and modify current code
• Build a fully functional web site using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Provide input into design, development, integration testing, and release of final product
• Develop and execute Test Scripts and Scenarios
• Configure and Support Magento implementations

Education/Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Technology and/or 3+ years of experience in Web development
• Magento training and experience in community edition Multi-store setup
• Some knowledge of SEO and Social marketing development best practices a plus

Technical Skills

• Required competencies: PHP, SQL (MySQL),  JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience with a version control system (GIT or SVN)
• Ability to complete complex assignments, analyze problems and apply effective solutions
• Ability to create mobile responsive web pages
• Ability to work well in a small team environment
• Ability to implement order fulfillment API’s to automate order fulfillment processes for an eCommerce website (customer for 3rd party API’s) is a plus
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Experience as a server administrator is a plus
