Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: This position is on hold for hiring but we are sourcing candidates for a future hire. We anticipate the position to be hired late 2014 to early 2015.

Job Requirements:

The Government Contract Coordinator will support the contract administration and management duties for LifeSpan.  This position is responsible for searching and coordinating new opportunities in the Federal and State contract environment, resulting in near-term revenues for LifeSpan covering both the PRO and Workplace series of products. Key job requirements for this position include:

  • Responsible for Contract Administration duties for all Government Sales.  Schedules all contracts to include compliance with all terms and conditions federally and statewide.
  • Coordinating and communicating LifeSpan offerings with the GSA assigned POC Officer
  • Builds and manages relationships with internal channel/segment partners and external clients/partners in government contracting to facilitate revenue growth.  Key areas are:
    • Compliance
    • Working with internal legal department
    • Running quarterly/monthly reports
    • Distributing Leads
    • Managing analyst functions including but limited to:

                - Contract administration for GSA and State Contracts

                - Day-to-day management of prime vendor activity

                - Customer service support

                - Representations/Certifications

                - Request for Quotes development, submission and execution

                - GSA Advantage, and coordination of all-- State site

  • Coordinates price actions for Government accounts, including GSA guaranteed pricing.
  • Assists in resolving customer issues to maintain Government agreements. Responds to basic questions and coordinates complex issues with Operations.
  • Responsible for the annual GSA Registration Renew requirements

Specific Skills Needed:

  • Past sales experience in contract office sales channel.
  • Strong sales skills, initiative, and ability to develop and implement existing and new sales programs and procedures.
  • Proven sales performance, regularly meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and proven problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success growing sales and market share.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and managing budgets and sales forecasts.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite including; MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to interpret reports and analyze and develop marketing plans accordingly.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in related Federal/State government contracts
  • Must have a positive attitude, sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable items.
