Job Description

The inside sales agent is responsible for introducing, and selling The Family Security Plan products to potential customers. As an inside sales agent you will be speaking with individuals who are in the need for new supplemental insurance products, so having the ability to communicate professionally and effectively is a must.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Introduce The Family Security Plan products and services to interested customers transferred to us from specific credit union call centers.

§ Answer calls in a professional manner discussing incentive programs for the credit union and The Family Security Plan

§ Achieve/Exceed monthly sales and retention objectives as determined by the Focus Plan.

§ Qualify and close prospective customers and recommend appropriate solutions for their insurance needs.

§ Call and follow up on customers through the appointment process and up sell opportunities

§ Accurately and thoroughly complete and submit insurance applications and documentation in accordance with company guidelines.

§ Potential to take overflow sales calls from the other channels in the call center.

§ Enter all sales and lead follow up appointments and ongoing documentation in the designated system.

§ Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

§ Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale.

§ Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.

§ Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.

 

 

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS NEEDED:

 

  • B.A./B.S. Degree preferred;
  • Life and Health Producer License (preferred)
  • Heavy phone – customer contact experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
  • Motivated and ability to meet sales goals
  • Ability to sell to customer’s needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • General Math skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Dependable
  • Ability to learn PFP product line (The Family Security Plan)
