Job Description
Vice President of Finance & Operations. Directly reporting to the position is Accounting, IT, HR, Procurement and Payroll.
The position requires an operational background with prior experience in General Management with Profit & Loss responsibility.
Position requires analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data, identifying cost reductions and productivity improvements, and recognizing growth opportunities while partnering with the business unit leadership teams.
Responsibilities:
* Be a World-Class Business Partner on the Executive Team, influencing Sales to Procurement strategies and tactics
* Develop, shape and execute the business strategy for profitable growth in the interests of all stakeholders.
* Recommend capital structure and allocation strategies plus financing needs
* Coach and mentor business unit managers in achieving financial goals and implementing performance management
* Establish and track business unit Key Performance Indicators and goals
* Ensure financial reporting accurately reflects business performance
* Oversee the capital budgeting process
* Manage treasury functions: banking relationships, cash management, investing
* Ensure accurate and timely information is provided to outside auditors
* Manage company insurance policies, 401(K), and pension plan
* Design and implement standardized business-unit reporting and costing
* Oversee and drive job costing analysis
* Present effective tax strategies to Executive Team
* Support the company's business acquisition process
* Develop human resources, enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruiting
Qualifications
We need a Financial Leader with manufacturing experience that includes both finance and operations.
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Engineering .
2. 10+ years of financial management in a manufacturing company.
3. 3+ years of experience in General Management in a manufacturing environment including P&L responsibility.
4. Experience with cost accounting, working capital management, payroll, IT & HR.
5. Working knowledge of ERP, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
6. CMA, CGMA, CPA, MBA (Finance/Accounting), Lean Six Sigma Training are pluses.
* Desire to work in a flat organization where resourcefulness, candor and initiative are vital often with constrained resources.
* Proven ability to drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives by eliminating waste in all functions on the shop floor and in the office.
* Proficient in the use of performance based metrics, scorecards, etc.
* Hands-on Change Agent never satisfied with the status quo who aspires for Excellence by setting high standards
* Results-driven, Team player in a high performance culture environment
* Sound Leadership and management qualities with a bias for action
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* High standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Travel within the United States could be up to 50% of the worked time.
