Park Avenue Center provides evidence based gender specific drug and alcohol treatment in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. First established in 1979, Park Avenue Center is a community-based program that proudly serves Minnesota’s less fortunate individuals in beautiful settings. Using evidence-based best practices, we have maintained a reputation for the highest quality of services at extremely low rates. Clients we serve typically struggle with multiple barriers including mental illness, homelessness, financial problems, legal issues, and an overall lack of emotional support. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, our staff includes Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Psychologists, Registered Nurses, and a consulting Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to prescribe medications. Our robust Mental Health Team allows us to help clients address their various needs and our EAGALA certified staff enables us to provide unique experiential therapy in a calming countryside location. Job Description


JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the IT Administrator is responsible for all aspects of computer hardware and software, email, internet, business machines, and the telephone systems. Responsibilities include the maintenance and proper functionality of all computers, business machines, and software used; the functionality of our use of the internet; serve as the Procentive liaison; the management of all aspects of our telephone system; and the functionality of our copiers.


II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for maintaining and upkeep of all of the personal computers and software used.

2. Responsible for the coordination and functionality of our email.

3. Responsible for day-to-day functionality of our internet.

4. Serves as the Procentive liaison providing technical support to staff and coordinating necessary functionality.

5. Responsible for day-to-day functionality of our telephone systems.

6. Responsible for day-to-day functionality of our copiers and business machines.

7. Functions as appropriate role model to Park Avenue Center staff.

8. Maintains regular communication with the Executive Director regarding necessary information pertinent to program management through meetings, emails, and communicating by telephone.

9. Conducts meaningful program of self-development by attending seminars, conferences, etc., to keep apprised of new methods and procedures.

Qualifications


III. QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of two years of general work experience in I.T. Administration or Help Desk support.

2. Must have a working knowledge of issues regarding confidentiality.

3. Must be able to maintain positive public relations with referring agencies and business community at large.

4. Must possess good verbal skills and be capable of presenting positive professional image.

5. At the time of hiring, must be free of chemical use problems for one year immediately preceding and sign a statement attesting to that fact.



Additional Information

This is a part-time position with 20 - 30 hours a week.
