Park Avenue Center provides evidence based gender specific drug and alcohol treatment in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. First established in 1979, Park Avenue Center is a community-based program that proudly serves Minnesota’s less fortunate individuals in beautiful settings. Using evidence-based best practices, we have maintained a reputation for the highest quality of services at extremely low rates. Clients we serve typically struggle with multiple barriers including mental illness, homelessness, financial problems, legal issues, and an overall lack of emotional support. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, our staff includes Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Psychologists, Registered Nurses, and a consulting Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to prescribe medications. Our robust Mental Health Team allows us to help clients address their various needs and our certified staff enables us to provide unique experiential therapy in a calming countryside location. JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Residence Manager acts as caretaker/custodian to maintain order, cleanliness of premises, conduct of residents, bring clients to 12-step meetings, help maintain resident’s appointment schedules in health and employment areas; inspect and maintain premises according to standards, orients new residents in rules and procedures/policies of house, work with counseling team and participate in staff meetings. In the absence of the Executive Director, is responsible for all matters pertaining to safety within the residence.

II.        DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check and maintain accuracy of resident sign out log nightly.
• Complete bed checks nightly.
• Report to clinical staff regarding any incidents involving residents and others.
• Transport clients to grocery store, YMCA, and 12-step meetings as needed/required.
• When required, assist clients at the grocery store and sign the charge account verifying clients do not spend more than is allowed.
• Be responsible for maintaining order, cleanliness of facility.
• See that premises are locked and secure; unnecessary lights, coffee maker, washer, dryer, etc. are turned off prior to retiring for the night.
• In general it is the responsibility of the Residence Manager to act as caretaker/custodian during night, early a.m. and weekend hours.
• Assign living quarters and linens to new residents.
• Assign household duties to residents.
• Explain rules and regulations to incoming residents.
• Help maintain appointment schedules for residents in health area.

 - Valid MN Drivers License
 - Must have at least 90 days of freedom from problematic substance use

 - This is a live-in position

This can be a perfect opportunity for someone who has another part-time position or is in school. Required to be on the property at 10:30pm and remain until 6am, plus one evening driving is required.
