Job Description

  • Perform analysis of customer returns such as insulin pumps, meter remotes and accessories, including a thorough investigation of all notes in complaint database (such as Siebel). Review any additional complaint information that may be returned with the product by the customer. May analyze complex customer complaints include events identified as potential MDRs, or reportable to other regulatory authorities
  • Perform comprehensive troubleshooting to evaluate the alleged deficiency including repeating user button pushes and event precursors, flow accuracy testing, leak testing, electro-mechanical and electronic troubleshooting of sub-assemblies
  • Ability to apply logic to limited data sets to identify defect patterns, failure modes and potential root causes for further analysis by an Investigator
  • Complete download of pump or meter history / black box information and review for information relevant to the complaint
  • Inspect, confirm, photograph and document thoroughly the analysis result of the returned product
  • Track progress of investigation and communicate status to Supervisor, including keeping management informed of any complaint or investigation issues
  • Perform maintenance and schedule calibration, as needed, on equipment utilized in PAL
  • Prepare for and, as necessary, support internal and regulatory agency audits and inspections
  • Complete all Quality documentation correctly
  • Able to train other Technicians on responsibilities listed above
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of electro-mechanical experience or Associate degree in electro-mechanical field with a minimum of 2 year of electro-mechanical experience is required
  • Ability to read and understand Schematics and P.C.B.A. Component layout
  • Basic knowledge using Test equipment such as, DC Power supplies, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope
  • Soldering experience. Removal and Placement of fine pitch SMT components using magnification. 
  • Mechanically inclined to remove small electro mechanical parts using tools such as screw drivers, tweezers, etc.
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Computer skills
