Assembler/Packer in Chicopee, MA


Kelly Services is currently seeking an Assembler/Packer for one of our top manufacturing clients in Chicopee, MA.


As an Assembler/Packer placed with Kelly Services, you will be assembling and packing various medical devices for the medical supplies unit. Our client’s fast-paced, team-oriented environment is the perfect place to take your assembly career to the next level.


Additional Responsibilities Include:

• Detect and report obviously defective materials or malfunctioning equipment to machine operator or proper supervision.

• Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.

• Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition.

• Prepare and label product packaging components provided and positioned at work station by others.

• May be required to count WIP (work in progress) and place on work station and assemble/package and/or place for next operation as instructed.

• Receive finished products, assemble/package where number of units is specified.

• May be required to weigh filled product container to ensure weight is within prescribed “go or no go” limits.

• Visually check for obvious defects, referring to area specific inspection standard, cull out defective product and inform operator/team leader.

• Place product into finished goods cartons and stack on adjacent pallets as required.

• Record production data and complete various simple forms as instructed.

• Partner with Operator as appropriate.

• Perform other similar or related duties as instructed by supervision.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position include:

• Minimum of 6 months previous manufacturing experience preferred

• Good manual dexterity

• Strong hand/eye coordination

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Reliable transportation

• Must have a minimum of a COMPLETED High School Diploma or GED

• Willingness to submit to a Drug Screen and Background Screen in accordance with company policy
