This position will be responsible for inspecting field facilities and employees for EHS and/or company policy compliance, reporting findings and following up to ensure corrections have been made. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Monitors the company's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations Inspects offices and equipment for accident prevention devices Assist field supervision in meeting their EHS and company goals and objectives Assist in delivering compliance training Complete all reporting requirements Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root cause(s) Implement root cause corrections as needed Maintains programs and record keeping systems that track training of all employees Maintains programs and record keeping systems that track job site observations Coordinates responses to observed behavior with the Human Resource department Conducts random and scheduled vehicle inspections in order to audit inspection process conducted in the field Implements administrative controls to abate or minimize safety hazards Inspects specified areas for fire prevention equipment and other safety and first-aid supplies Prepares report of findings with recommendations for corrective action Investigates causes of accidents to identify preventive safety measures for incorporation into the safety program Assists with testing and servicing safety equipment and systems Demonstrates use of safety equipment Conducts training classes covering policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Previous safety inspection experience • 1-7 years full time safety management experience or equivalent combination of education in a safety related degree and experience • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form • Working knowledge of applicable safety rules and standards Education and/or Experience Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
