Job Description

Media Managers are multi-talented, well versed in the digital landscape, embrace performance metrics, and are a combination of right and left brained thinkers. They help drive strategic direction across mutli-platform marketing programs while consistently looking for innovation in media, programmatic buying & data integration, audience development, creative, and technology management. They have a comprehensive understanding of how to merge consumer experiences & digital media (paid, earned, and owned).

Core job responsibilities include –

Strategy & Media:

  • Translate campaign briefs with client team into strategic infrastructures to ensure campaign objectives can be achieved
  • Research & dissect potential consumer journey pathways in order to construct campaign strategy and subsequent goals
  • Evaluate publishers with team to build media plans
  • Identify vendors for potential long-term partnership opportunities
  • Structure campaigns for constant testing & programmatic diversification
  • Discover opportunities for data based research & program analysis
  • Define and set expectations within media plans with team re:viewability and campaign KPIs
Growth & Development:
  • Manage and develop a junior team (up to 2) through leadership, mentoring/training, and performance feedback to ensure strategy & media career advancement
  • QA all client deliverables with team Communications:
  • Establish and maintain day-to-day client relationships re:media
  • Effectively present materials to client team on a regular basis
  • Build and preserve relationships with vendors in relation to client work
  • Represent Pet360 and client team at industry events
Execution:
  • Oversee budgeting & tracking/pacing of campaigns with junior team
  • QA campaign set up for naming conventions, creative, tagging, flight dates, and budgets
  • Review reports with Insights Manager to extrapolate performance trends and key insights for optimization opportunities and/or future planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent years of work experience in related position
  • Minimum of 5 years of digital media/marketing experience, specifically at an advertising agency or client side online marketing department.
  • 2+ years of programmatic experience is a must.
  • 1-2+ years of retail experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Powerpoint and Excel), DoubleClick, Programmatic UIs, comScore, Nielsen, and Google Analytics are required.
  • This individual thrives in a small team environment, works well with others, and is comfortable working independently while developing junior team members.
