Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

  • To manage the day to day financial activities for the organisation, including; financial accounting, reporting, intercompany reconciliation, cash flow, auditing and overseeing all tax compliance issues.
  • Ensure proper cash management in order to meet business objectives and coordinate the allocation of company’s finances.
  • Responsible for monthly intercompany reconciliation.
  • Manage the company’s tax position including the minimization of tax liability, proper tax reporting and ensure compliance with all statutory positions.
  • Manage payroll processes in accordance with HR policies and procedures and ensure that payroll calculations are performed in line with HR systems and records and that all employees are paid on a timely basis.
  • Ensure effective implementation and delivery of  monthly financial reporting and statutory accounts, through the management of the Accounting & Reporting function.
  • Manage accounts payable from invoice receipt to payment proposal, including petty cash advances and personnel expense claims and ensure effective implementation and delivery of company policy, procedures and controls.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with other departments within the organisation  to facilitate accurate and timely accounting of Capex and Opex.
  • Drive process improvement by working closely with the Process Improvement team to evaluate current processes and procedures, recommend new practices, procedures and systems to improve operating efficiencies and internal controls
  • To provide support to the managing Director or Board on complex issues
  • Responsible for the development & in house coaching of the Finance team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience is required. Relevant experience includes Finance, Auditing, process improvement 
  • Certified Accountant
  • Public accounting or private industry experience
  • Prior process improvement experience is required
  • Must have in-depth understanding of financial statements and financial systems
  • Ability to create accurate reports to meet internal reporting and analysis requirements
  • Ability to take multiple data sets and variables and create meaningful reports for a variety of audiences
  • Possess proven project management skills
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex numerical data
  • High degree of technical/system aptitude including Excel, to macro level and power point
  • Possess strong communication skills both verbal and written adaptable to all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritze workload.
  • Possess a high degree of initiative, drive, confidence and ability to enjoy fast paced work environment.
  • Professional, flexible and team oriented.
