Job Description
The Systems Electrical Integration Engineer serves a critical role that carries through the entire lifecycle of the production of the Lithium-Ion battery pack systems and modules. He/She will provide a combination of important systems engineering deliverables as well as system integration activities. The Systems Electrical Integration Engineer will have knowledge of large Li-Ion packs and their host systems to participate in the identification system and subsystem requirements develop a multitude of engineering work products, and serve as a customer interface specialist. He/She must be able to efficiently interact with internal cross functional teams, application customers, and subsystem suppliers. This position seeks a candidate with experience and technical knowledge of high voltage (HV) lithium ion battery systems with customer service, customer integration, and core requirements engineering discipline.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Create and release high voltage lithium ion battery system and subsystem requirements, including customer application interfaces.
· Develop and maintain system, subsystem, requirements within our systems requirements database (DOORS).
· Develop systems deliverables including System DFMEA and subsystem DFMEA.
· Establish compliance matrices based on our internal requirements and external requirements.
· Identify and define external requirements based on customer interaction. Cascade these requirements into Diagnostic Trouble Code algorithm development, lab verification, software integration, and end of line testing.
· Serve as technical lead for customer technical service while providing field support.
· Serve as the technical liaison with battery system electronics supplier from France. (French language skills are desired).
· Monitor and enforce compliance with customer and internal requirement through active participation in product development meetings, design reviews, and workshops.
· Perform detailed assessments as required to provide input to critical design decisions, product optimization and potential tailoring of requirements.
· Serve as technical lead for development of Boundary Diagrams, Item Definition, Interface Matrices, HARA, FMEA, FMEDA, and Robustness Checklists.
· Deliver system integration tasks using network communication toolsets.
Qualifications
· Must have technical knowledge and a minimum of 3 years' systems experience with battery systems.
· Must have working knowledge and minimum of 1-year experience developing lithium ion battery system diagnostics and diagnostic trouble codes.
· Must have an understanding of vehicle controls related to hybrid electric and electric vehicles with a minimum of 1-year experience.
· Must have working knowledge of IBM DOORS, CANoe with a minimum of 1-year experience.
