Job Description

U.S. Bank related company is seeking an accomplished Senior Data Analyst with data analysis and design experience to contribute toward the success of our Hadoop "Big Data" platform to enable systematic data sourcing of our atomic data repository. Interprets and writes business and functional requirements associated with the design, development, maintenance and integrity of atomic data repository and other data marts. Leads multiple data analysts in large complex projects. Analyzes data from various systems of record as it pertains to data sourcing. Leads communication with the business to understand and define data requirements. Writes complex functional and non-functional requirements pertaining to multiple system of record sources. Collaborates with data architect to define relationships in data within the system of record and data repository. Defines complex business rules concerning the process of the data repository. Creates procedures for developing and maintaining metadata and source-to-target data mapping documents. Communicates effectively with business lines and various technology groups. Facilitates reviews of functional and non-functional requirements with development teams and business lines. Provides consulting and guidance to other technical teams during requirements gathering and data discovery. Shares knowledge associated with tools for data analysis.

Data Analyst can be required to perform various levels of testing as required pertaining to source-to-target data testing, validation of technical metadata accuracy and coordination with quality assurance team to assure test scripts are written property based on data requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 5 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Extensive experience in: -Data warehousing, basic SQL

-Requirements analysis -Technical troubleshooting

-IT quality assurance

-System development life cycle

-Information management -Business assessment

-Mainframe

- TSO/ISPF, File Manager, COBOL copybooks

-Unix *Knowledge of Hadoop "Big Data" is a plus
